The Hinukh (also Hinux, Ginukh, or Ginux) are a people of Dagestan who are being assimilated by the Caucasian Avars. They live in the Tsunta region of southwest Dagestan, near the Georgian border. They speak their native Hinukh language, and many also speak Avar, Russian and often also other languages of the region.
